Jay Marsden, Founding Attorney
Jay Marsden is the Principal Attorney at Marsden Law, with more than twenty years of experience guiding clients through estate planning, probate, trust and estate administration, and elder law matters. He works closely with individuals and families to develop tailored estate plans that reflect each client’s goals, values, and life circumstances.
Jay advises a broad range of clients, from young families establishing foundational plans to high-net-worth individuals and business owners seeking advanced strategies. His approach is proactive and practical: anticipating issues before they arise, helping minimize tax exposure where appropriate, and ensuring assets are transferred efficiently and in accordance with the client’s wishes.
In addition to planning, Jay represents personal representatives, trustees, and beneficiaries in the administration of both straightforward and complex estates and trusts. He is known for combining empathy with strategic judgment, providing clear guidance through emotionally and financially significant decisions while delivering responsive, high-touch service.
Before practicing law, Jay spent more than 16 years as an investment advisor at Fidelity Investments in Boston, where he served high-net-worth clients in Fidelity’s Private Client Group and provided integrated guidance across investments, retirement planning, and estate planning considerations.
Jay is married and the proud father of two daughters.
